THE WHEEL OF LIFE & STYLE

By virtue of it's inimitability, one of the most popular, if not the most popular, tourist attractions in Oslo and in Norway, without any doubt is Vigeland park – the world's largest sculpture park produced by a single artist, namely Gustav Vigeland. This unique park, with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron, is his lifework. Special place, reserved among others, is occupied by a sculpture called The Wheel of Life.

Jedno od omiljenih turističkih odredišta Osla, ali i cijele Norveške, zbog svoje je jedinstvenosti Vigeland park, najveći poznati park skulptura kreiran od strane jednog umjetnika – Gustava Vigelanda. S preko 200 skulptura u bronci, granitu i lijevanom željezu, park predstavlja životno djelo ovog značajnog kipara. Posebno mjesto u ovoj zbirci skulptura zauzima takozvano „Kolo života“.

Shaped like a wreath of women, children and man mutually holding one another, it symbolizes and captures universal and dramatic theme of the whole park: man's journey from cradle to grave, through happiness and grief, sorrow and grace, through fantasy, imagination, hopes, dreams and striving for eternity. This beautiful garland reminded me of how swiftly time passes and how one day, in a wee of the second, can be turned into a year. But each day and each year brings something new so it's important to cherish present moment and surround ourselves with people we love, that in their company we may forget about time.
Have you ever visited Vigeland park and what are your impressions?

Although cold, Oslo is still full of sunlight. For my tour around this astounding park I chose gently pink shaded H&M wool sweater, Zara's black skirt with frill of last season collection, beige Mango's coat acquired two yers ago and leather boots from Lasoci. As a final touch I brought with me a few accessories: matching beige Mango handbag and Chanel sunglasses from Pearl collection.

Until the next post, best wishes!

Cijeli izgled dodatno sam obogatila s nekoliko modnih dodataka: Mango torbicom u nijansi kaputa i Chanel sunčanim naočalama iz Pearl kolekcije.

Do sljedećeg posta, lijep pozdrav!
